Our Commitment to Community

Tokyo Video thrives because of our users. We've built a platform where people from all backgrounds can meet, converse, and form genuine connections. These guidelines exist to protect that community spirit and ensure everyone feels welcome.

By using Tokyo Video, you agree to follow these principles. Violations result in temporary or permanent bans depending on severity.

The Golden Rule

Treat others as you'd like to be treated. Video chat works because participants feel safe and respected. When in doubt about whether something is appropriate, don't do it.

What We Expect

Be Respectful: Different viewpoints enrich conversation. Disagree without being disrespectful. Debate ideas, not people.

Be Authentic: Present yourself honestly. Misrepresenting yourself—including age, location, or identity—harms trust.

Be Considerate: Remember you're talking to another person with feelings. Avoid actions that would embarrass or humiliate someone.

Be Patient: Not everyone speaks your language fluently or shares your communication style. Give people the benefit of the doubt.

Be a Good Sport: If someone wants to end the conversation, wish them well and click next. No guilt-tripping or harassment.

What's Not Allowed

Harassment & Bullying: Any targeted attacks based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic.

Inappropriate Content: Nudity, sexual acts, pornography, or sexually restricted material. This includes flashing, suggestive gestures, or mature-themed conversations.

Illegal Activities: Promoting, facilitating, or engaging in illegal conduct. This includes drug use, violence, or exploitation.

Impersonation: Pretending to be someone else—including celebrities, other users, or Tokyo Video staff.

Spam & Advertising: Promoting products, services, social media accounts, websites, or businesses. This includes asking for followers, subscribers, or donations.

Recording Without Consent: Screenshotting, screen recording, or photographing other users without their clear permission. This is illegal in many jurisdictions.

Personal Information Sharing: Doxxing—sharing someone's private information (address, workplace, contact details) without consent.

Age Requirement: Our service is for users of legal age only. Users must be of legal age in their country. Anyone who appears to be underage will be banned immediately.

Self-Promotion: Using Tokyo Video to build personal brand or funnel users to external platforms.

What to Do If You See Violations

Report immediately using the in-chat report button. Provide context when possible. Our moderation team reviews reports 24/7.

Do not engage with violators. Responding to bad behavior often escalates situations. Click away and report.

False reports harm the community. Only report genuine violations. Abusing the report system may result in consequences for you.

What Happens After a Report

Our process:

  1. Report received and logged
  2. Review by automated systems (AI pattern detection)
  3. Human moderator assessment
  4. Action taken if violation confirmed (warning, temporary ban, or permanent ban)
  5. Reporter may receive notification of outcome

We aim to resolve serious reports within hours. Severity of action depends on violation type and user history.

Appeals

If you believe your account was banned unfairly, you may appeal by contacting our support team. Include your username, reason for appeal, and any relevant context. We review appeals within 5 business days.

Community Enforcement

Our moderation combines:

  • AI Detection: Pattern recognition identifies potential violations for human review
  • Human Moderators: Trained team reviews reports and ambiguous situations
  • User Reporting: Community members flag problematic behavior
  • Automated Filters: Keyword detection for obviously prohibited content

Zero Tolerance Policies

Certain violations result in immediate permanent bans with no warning:

  • Sharing or soliciting child exploitation material
  • Threats of violence or harm
  • Sexual exploitation or trafficking
  • Extortion or blackmail attempts
  • Distributing malware or engaging in phishing

Cooperation with Law Enforcement

Tokyo Video complies with valid legal requests from authorities. We may report illegal activity to law enforcement when necessary to protect users or prevent harm.
